For this project you and a partner will make a video about a shopping experience to present to the class. You will be graded on the following:
- In class preparations and use of class time – you will be given class time to prepare for the presentation. Both of you will work on the script together. Decide What you are shoping for (school supplies/clothes/both), what you will “buy”, where you will film it (a real store, if allowed, or one of your houses), what roles you will play (store clerk/customer, friends shopping, parent/child, etc.) what you will say, etc. Staying on task will earn you points. Talking about other things or generally goofing off and causing distractions will cost you points.
- Introductions (both) – Both of you will need to be introduced. You may use fake names if you want (don’t waste a lot of time deciding a name!) You may introduce yourself or each other.
- Grammar and pronunciation -It is very important to use correct grammar and pronunciation.
o Tip: when using a color it goes AFTER the piece of clothing and must end in the same letter. (except for verde, azul, café and gris, which stay the same.)
§ EX: una camiseta roja = a red t-shirt
§ unos zapatos negros = some black shoes
§ un vestido verde = a green dress.
o Check you verb conjugations. Make sure the subjects and verbs match.
- Use of vocabulary (articles of clothing , colors, school supplies, verbs) – You must include at least 10 sentences, two of which should be questions like “How can I help you” or “how much does it cost?”. Use at least three colors. You may spice up your presentation with brand names too.
§ Ex: Unos pantalones vaqueros de Tommy Hilfiger
- General presentation skills – Use style and personality, be well rehearsed, loud and clear when speaking, make eye contact, etc. Quality of video (clearly audible, steady camera, etc.)
- Behavior during others’ presentations – Please be respectful while other groups are presenting. Don’t talk, practice your skit, make stupid or mean comments, etc. Poor behavior may result in a loss of points.
